Today, unemployment has become a reality to many people. The continued short-listing of candidates for a job that actually pays the minimum wage, has left many people to wonder what are they supposed to do next, usually knowing that they will be soon to find their next job. This can be an extremely difficult ask, knowing that you haven’t had a job in years, but I really don’t know what to do. Lets look at the financial aspect of it all and the trick is to prepare for the nojob market…

As a Professional, you need to know what to expect and how to deal with the ever-increasing rate of layoffs. If you ever lost your job, you very well may lose your home, your retirement savings, your retirement programs, and even your home and car. If you spend enough time thinking about all these things, you can begin to see how impossible it is to stay positive, and if you falter, you may already be out of your job. You need to take you focus and passion and start preparing themselves for seeing their empty job-sports metaphories when the phone rings, or someone comes over to your house for the “big announcement.”

Here’s what to do:

The easiest thing to do is to go back to work; yet that is going to only work out for up to a year or two. You need to be flexible, and to apply for as many different kinds of jobs as you possibly can; these will give you more experience and will also help with your resume. The more experience you have in the work force, the better off you are going to be, which means job opportunities will come more freely. You will need to set an expectation within your family, and let them know exactly what you are looking for, and how to go about applying for jobs.

You also need to be prepared for the most unexpected job that can come your way. I would guess the reason there are so many very well-qualified full-time jobs does not have anything to do with the economy, but all to do with the job market. The job market has never been as competitive as it is right now, and it will only become more so. So there is just no way to know how jobs are going to turn out; however, the unfortunate reality is that you can be sure you are never going to get another break like this before.

I strongly recommend that you put your resume on your website using a niche job site, this will make your resume easy to find and reach potential employers more easily. If you position yourself correctly, your phone should start ringing with new opportunities coming to you isn’t it? Don’t be caught up in the frustration, you need to take control of your life and your career; you need to start someone else working for you, making you more money than you ever made before. You need more time than you have ever had, and you need to do something about it – searching the internet for self-employed opportunities is the key.

If you have more work to do, it would be good to get ideas from books, and do everything you can to make yourself more valuable to potential employers. Being the one who over comes adversity and on irresistible trends is one of the most important life skills you will ever receive. The world isn’t willing to let you face a challenge they are about to lose to a person or company with determination and skill – and it never will.

Plus, you will only have sky-rocketed your annual income from the second you start working for yourself in your online business.

Only you know what would benefit your family – maybe go back to school to learn a new skill, like being able to weld, or website designing, or even running your own catering business.
